CARE HINTS FOR ROXX AND STONEOLOGY

Engineered stone cannot tolerate heat exposure and we recommend that you should always use a board of some sort to protect your top from heat exposure. Likewise we caution you against the use of woks or preserving pots on elements / hobs next to your top as the reflected heat (particularly when using gas) can cause heat damage to your top if not monitored.

Your Engineered Stone top can be damaged from impact with hard materials or tools. Take care of your top as although chips and cracks can be repaired the repair itself can be visible.

Engineered Stone is a reasonably stain resistant product however it is still recommended to clean up liquid and food spills promptly to minimize the chance of stains.

While some products are naturally stain resistant to a certain degree and are not specially treated others can also be enhanced with a stain stop impregnator.  Our recommendation is that spills should be cleaned up quickly and that you should use warm soapy water (mild detergent). Use of a mild household cleaner can be considered but If using a mild household cleaner test your product first in an out of the way part of your top in case you have selected a product that is aggressive or of high alkalinity. Such materials can cause damage and should be avoided.

We suggest that you use warm soapy water always prior to testing other cleaners.

Polishing of your top will help you keep you top looking good for longer as with time the installed stone polish level may dull. Our product suppliers can recommend appropriate products for your surface. Contact details can be found on their  websites.
